What Is This Game?

Shadows of Leão is an immersive, role-based social deduction game.

You and your fellow Council Members each hold a secret role —
some aligned with the Isleborn Citizens, guardians of peace (Good Team);
others hidden within the Shadow Council, masters of sabotage and deceit (Evil Team).

One player takes on the role of Game Master (The Architect), guiding the story and overseeing each round.

Your mission: uncover hidden threats, forge fragile alliances,
and steer the fate of Leão before darkness claims it all.

The Isleborn Citizens win if they eliminate the Ravager.
The Shadow Council wins by sowing chaos, evading detection, and wiping out the Citizens.

Every game unfolds differently, shaped by the mix of factions, abilities, and choices at the table.

Ravager

The sole killer and most dangerous figure in the game. If they die, the citizens win—unless they choose to pass the mantle to a Council member. Their eliminations are decisive and begin Night 2.
They are the nightmare lurking beneath the surface—always one step ahead.

Shadow Council Member

The Ravager’s trusted inner circle—the Shadow Council doesn’t kill, but their impact is just as deadly. These members sow chaos, manipulate trust, and protect the Ravager at all costs. Some wield sinister powers, while others blend in, quietly steering suspicion away from evil.
They whisper lies, twist truths, and unravel the town from within—loyal only to the shadows.

Isleborn Citizens

Isleborn Citizens are loyal to the island and committed to exposing the truth and preserving life.
Informants reveal hidden information, helping the town identify threats.
Protectors shield others from harm, blocking eliminations or redirecting danger.
Specialists wield unique, rule-bending abilities that shift the course of the game in unexpected ways.
Together, they form the heart of the resistance—watchful, resilient, and full of surprises.

Chaotic Influencers

Chaotic Influencers shape the game through unpredictable means. Their abilities cause confusion, redirection, or disruption—not out of malice, but by design. These roles don’t fit neatly into other categories, but they are still loyal to the Citizens. Expect chaos, laughter, and a bit of trouble.
They mean well. Mostly.

Unbound

Unbound roles break traditional loyalties. Some begin the game completely neutral, with their alignment shifting based on choices, interactions, or abilities. Others may appear Citizen-aligned but possess unconventional abilities that can harm their own team. A few follow their own win conditions, caring little for the battle between good and evil.
They walk the line between ally and anomaly—wild cards whose true nature is revealed only in time.

Wanderer

Wanderers don’t stay long—but they leave a mark. These roles are designed for players who may arrive late or need to exit early. Their abilities often trigger early and have game-shifting effects that operate on a grander scale than Influencers. Unlike other roles, Wanderers are publicly known from the start. The Architect assigns their alignment based on game balance or current conditions.
They come and go like omens—rare, powerful, and unforgettable.
