Shadow Secretary

$0.00

Special Ability: Silent Oversight

You may open your eyes each night whenever another Shadow Council Member is called, including the Ravager.

You observe all Shadow Council actions and targets, but do not participate in their decisions unless your own ability allows it.

Passive Ability: Unspoken Influence

As long as you are alive, you may privately instruct The Architect to clarify or repeat what a Shadow Council Member has done if assistance is needed in conveying information or correcting confusion within the faction.

This ability exists to maintain coordination and continuity among the Shadow Council during silent night play.

Passive Ability: Contingency Plan

If a Shadow Council Member dies, you inherit their Special Ability.

You retain previously inherited abilities.

You may only use one inherited ability per night unless otherwise stated by The Architect.

You cannot inherit abilities from the Ravager or non Shadow Council roles.

Passive Ability: Clean Records

If investigated by an Informant or ability that detects alignment, you appear as an Isleborn Citizen aligned role.

Game Impact & Strategic Tips

The Shadow Secretary is the operational backbone of the Shadow Council. While other members work independently and often without knowledge of one another’s actions, the Secretary quietly gathers and preserves the faction’s collective intelligence.

This role excels at:

  • preventing wasted abilities

  • preserving long term strategies

  • helping the Shadow Council adapt after losses

  • maintaining communication in silence heavy games

As the game progresses, the Shadow Secretary becomes increasingly dangerous. Each fallen Shadow Council Member expands the Secretary’s toolkit, transforming them into the living archive of the faction.

The Shadow Secretary thrives through patience, subtlety, and memory rather than aggression.

Backstory / Lore

The Ravagers are feared for their violence, but violence alone does not sustain an empire of shadows. Hidden behind every coordinated attack, every silenced witness, and every perfectly timed betrayal sits the Shadow Secretary.

She is never the loudest voice in the room. Often, she is not seen at all.

From hidden chambers beneath Leão’s great cities, she records operations, tracks loyalties, and ensures that no secret dies with its owner. Ravagers come and go. Shadow Council Members vanish into history. But the Secretary remains, preserving the faction’s knowledge with chilling precision.

Some say she keeps thousands of names stored within her private ledgers. Others believe she remembers every operation without writing a single word.

One truth is universally accepted among the Shadow Council:

If the Secretary is still alive, the conspiracy is still functioning.
