The Queen Bee

$0.00

Alignment: Unbound (Recruiter)

Region: Golden Coast

Win Condition: The Queen Bee and the Beehive win if all remaining players in the game are members of the Beehive.

Role Key: queen_bee

Passive Ability: Hive Signal

At the start of the game, the Queen Bee secretly creates a unique signal, phrase, gesture, or mannerism and shares it only with recruited Beehive members.

Whenever a player is recruited, the Queen Bee privately teaches them the signal.

Beehive members may use the signal throughout the game to identify one another, but there is no guarantee they know every member of the Hive. Non-Hive players may accidentally imitate the signal, creating confusion and uncertainty.

Passive Ability: Colony Collapse

The Beehive exists only through the Queen.

If the Queen Bee is eliminated by any means, every living member of the Beehive is immediately eliminated.

Special Ability: Sweeter Than Honey

Each night, the Queen Bee may recruit one player into the Beehive.

Recruited players lose their original alignment and become members of the Beehive.

Isleborn Citizens, Shadow Council Members, Wanderers, and most Unbound roles abandon their previous win conditions and now win only with the Beehive.

Ravagers and Silver Fang members retain their abilities but their allegiance changes. They now seek to protect the Queen Bee and achieve the Beehive victory condition.

Lovers retain their bond and any effects associated with that bond.

The Queen Bee may not recruit eliminated players.

Game Impact & Strategic Tips

  • The Queen Bee grows stronger with every passing night, making early identification critical.

  • The Hive Signal allows members to discover one another organically without granting perfect information.

  • Recruiting influential roles can dramatically shift the balance of power.

  • Ravagers and Silver Fangs who join the Hive become especially dangerous because they retain their abilities while serving a new master.

  • The Queen Bee should avoid drawing attention to herself, as the entire colony depends on her survival.

  • Citizens must determine whether unusual voting patterns or coordinated behavior indicate a growing Hive.

  • A well-hidden Queen Bee can quietly transform the entire game without ever directly eliminating a player.

Backstory / Lore

Hidden beneath the glittering galas and lavish masquerades of Golden Coast, a different kind of power quietly spreads through whispered promises and unwavering devotion. At the center of this growing movement stands the Queen Bee, a charismatic leader whose influence reaches far beyond what anyone suspects. While others seek power through fear, force, or deception, she offers something far more tempting: belonging.

Each night another soul may be drawn into her orbit. Once recruited, former loyalties begin to fade. Citizens abandon their causes, Wanderers discover new purpose, and even the most dangerous enemies may find themselves serving the Hive. The Queen's influence is subtle yet absolute, weaving together a hidden network that stretches across every region of Leão.

Unlike the Ravagers or Silver Fangs, the Queen Bee does not need bloodshed to achieve victory. Her power comes from growth. Every new member strengthens the colony, bringing the Hive one step closer to complete domination. Yet the Hive possesses a fatal weakness. Every member is bound to the Queen herself. Should she fall, the colony collapses, and all that remains is silence where once there was a thriving swarm.

Many dismiss the faint hum in the night as harmless.

By the time they recognize its source, they are often already part of the Hive.

Personality & Traits

The Queen Bee is charismatic, persuasive, patient, elegant, and deeply strategic. She prefers influence over confrontation and loyalty over fear. Her followers are devoted, coordinated, protective, and united by a shared purpose. Together they embody the belief that the strength of the colony will always surpass the strength of the individual.
